AI Statement
Just so we're absolutely clear!
AI is a type of software model that is often trained on artwork from human artists without their consent and used to "create" new images. These models are powered by AI data centres that use enormous amounts of power and water and create massive amount of pollution.
This is why I-Con is completely anti-AI and will not support anyone who uses it. We ask our stall holders to confirm that their products were not produced using AI and not to use AI for their advertising and promotional images.
The committee are working hard to ensure no AI content makes it to the convention but with AI becoming more sophisticated, the tell-tale signs may not be obvious. If you believe something is AI, please let a staff member know and we will investigate. Also please be aware that AI is trained on popular art styles and what may initially look like AI could just be the original style it was trained on.
